Delete / Reset ROM?
« on: May 14, 2007, 10:06:45 PM »
To make a long story short, it seems like I messed up something in my iRiver H120 during installation, and it's behaving abnormally. It does not recognize the hard disk, and sometimes boot like it were attached to the PC when it's not.

has anyone seen this before? More importantly, is there any way to erase or delete the ROM, so it resets to the original version (like in a PC motherboard)?

This is most likely a hardware fault, and a very common one too. The circuit board with the USB connector has a broken connection to the main circuit board. It needs to be resoldered.
