Slower transfer speed with rockbox

Hi everybody.
I have Rockbox on my Nano and I realized that when I am transfering music from my PC to the player with the Rockbox firmware, the transfer speed is a lot slower, compared to the times I connect the Ipod with the Apple OS firmware loaded.

I use Rockbox to listen to my music and I store it in a folder I created in the Ipod.
But to transfer it I need to load the Apple OS and only then connect the Ipod to transfer the files. Otherwise it's slow as hell!

Is this normal?

Yes, transfer speed in disk mode is slower than in firmware. And this is normal

also, would this problem ( a minor problem but a problem nevertheless) be fixed?

We can't fix the speed of apple's disk transfer mode - it's their code not ours.

That being said - someone is working on implementing our own USB code in Rockbox at the moment - so hopefully we won't have to use Apple's mode for too much longer.
