iPod nano boot problem
« on: May 02, 2007, 06:54:57 AM »
Hi,

I have a 1st gen iPod nano (dual boot with the original firmware) and I've been using rockbox for a few months now. My iPod nano doesn't boot and here is what happened and what I tried:

Today after listening to music on my ipod with rockbox, I decided to turn it off because the battery was low. I didn't get a battery low message before but just when I tried to turn it off, I got it. Then I connected it to my pc for charging. The boot screen came up and said the original firmware was loading. Because the boot process took longer, I decided to reset it. But now after the reset my iPod doesn't boot anymore. No screen and nothing happens when connected to pc. I've tried the reset process (turning hold switch keys on-off and clicking and holding menu+select buttons for 30 seconds) a few times, though it's on charge only for about 1 hour now. What else can I do except charging it for a few more hours and trying to reset again then?

Thanks in advance.

I was away for 2 days and I left iPod at home. Then I don't know what happened but my brother says my iPod is working again.

Did you leave your ipod on or off charge for the two mentioned days? I have the exact problem with my nano.
