serious problem

i just deleted the .rockbox from my nano gen1 without booting to apple firmware first.

now i cant do anything about it. cant get into disk mode to recover, cant connect to computer.

worried that if i bring it down to apple, they will void my warranty because i installed 3rd party firmware.

what should i do? sad :(

You can always get to disk mode.

See the "My iPod installation went wrong" thread in the Apple install forum.

Do the hard reset first, then immediately the screen goes black, do the disk mode key press.

thanks mate. i actually read the apple.com help, it says press the disk mode keypress after i see the apple logo. i followed your way and it got into disk mode. thanks

will update results later.
