Mpeg Playing Issues

Hi I'm using an ipod nano right now. I can't get my mpegplayer to play anything above 10 fps. I've downloaded elephants dream just to test it and it doesn't play fast enough. I've also encoded my own videos. They sound will play fine but the video will lag behind. I tried frame skip and all that stuff and nothing works. I've read about Kernel On COP and I don't know if that has anything to do with getting my nano to play fast enough. Please tell me what I have to do and how I get KoCOP. I've searched forever and can't find anything. Thanks

how high resolution and bitrate are we talking? Did you look at the MPEG player page under extras, it gives you resolutions vs fps ratios in a table.

soap:
Those numbers are most likely out of date with recent MpegPlayer improvements, but should give a decent idea.
I should probably run the benchmarks again on my players, and add a SVN revision number to the table.

Skeith:
Yeah probably, I can get over 30fps on my H10 at 160x128.
There isnt much a point to put a video with a larger resolution that the LCD anyway.

Which bootloader are you using to start load Rockbox?   People using old versions of the ipodlinux Loader2 bootloader have reported the same problem.
