ipod playlist
« on: May 08, 2007, 05:11:11 PM »
just got rockbox for my mini, and its great. i've read many posts about playlists, but i can't seem to find any reguarding how to simply "recycle" the playlists that were previously created under itunes before i upgraded to rockbox.
i know how to create new playlists using winamp, but i was wondering if there was a way to just export the playlists already on the mini to the computer, then back to rockbox.

thanks

This would be an ipod question, not a Rockbox question.

Rockbox will read a m3u file as a playlist so if you can get iTunes or your iPod to write an m3u file you should be fine.  Considering the database-centric mindset of the iPod philosophy, however, I'd be surprised if it was simple or even possible.

I've seen this thread some time ago: http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=8039.0

Note: I don't know if it still works or other details - don't own an Ipod. Using the search function helped me to dig this up again ;).
