ipod 30GB 5G screen gets distorted everytime i boot!
killer:
yes, before it seldom occur, but it happens everytime now!.. when i plugged and unplugged it on the usb port on my computer to download or make a few changes on my files on my ipod (on rockbox) but it didn't happen if it is on original firmware.. it happens everytime after my daughter watched her 2hours long favorite cartoons and rebooting back to rockbox, the screen gets distorted or faded even before it shows the apple icon, sometimes it happen even when its on its original apple firmware (which i use to charge the player) right after i plugged the connector of an AC charger and seldom it happens after i unplugged it after being fully-charged from an AC charger, say the screen was okey when i plugged the charger.. perhaps un-installing and re-installing rockbox will cure this  ???, because this only happened two(?) days after i run the rockbox on my ipod!.
killer:
i tried to restoring my ipod using itunes, hoping that something reconfigured by rockbox would return to normal after restoring it, i was trying to uninstall rockbox using the uninstall icon inside the RBuninstall folder, but it prompted on the computer screen that i have to use itunes updater.. so i did, then i hit restore button to erase everything on my ipod's harddrive, first itunes informed me that all my files will be lost, okey, i hit restore button.. after a few minutes when itune restored my ipod and start synching.. the screen on my ipod is unfortunately still a distorted/faded mess!.. is it possible that rockbox could have messed up my ipod's screen or something?.
Llorean:
There is no "RBuninstall" folder in the official install instructions. What exactly did you do to your iPod? It sounds very much like you installed using someone else's tools, which means we don't even know what was on your iPod.
The official version of Rockbox should not be able to cause any problem like that, as once it's removed properly, it's gone entirely.
