killer:
after using rockbox for a few days, it was amazing..  though i usually switch from rockbox to apple OS most of the time, because i use the apple os to watch video and rockbox to listen on my music files.. besides the fact that rockbox features are really cool!.. but after i watched an hour of video when i tried to boot back to rockbox.. the screen got totally distorted!.. but it was able to play music  ???, i tried to shut it down and let it sit for a few minutes and tried to boot it back, an apple icon appears on the screen and showed a normal screen again.., when i connected it on the usb port the screed got distorted again, but my ipod appears as my F: removable drive on my windows explorer!, but i can't see any icon appearing on my ipod screen!, why is this so?.. i need help here guys!.. thanks in advance!

killer:
am i the only one experiencing this?  ???

Yotto:
A picture would really help here.  Saying your screen is "Distorted" doesn't tell us much.

To me, "distorted" means the screen is flawed.

killer:
the whole screen gets all white.. or grey sometimes!.. it happens everytime i plug it on the usb, charger and booting from rockbox to original apple OS.. i'll try to take a picture it.

Ever since USB detection was added to the iPods people have been having problems exactly as you now explain.  Rockbox detects there is a USB data (as opposed to charger only) connection, attempts to reboot, but fails to do so, leaving the screen a faded and distorted mess.
My iPod video does this nine time out of ten if I don't reboot into Apple firmware before attaching a USB data cable.

If I am misreading your description, and this happens when you plug in a power-only USB connection, I don't know how to explain it.

But to clarify - unlike what you originally said in this topic's subject line - this does not happen every time you boot your iPod, it only happens when you plug in a USB cable?
