Installing the boot loader
« on: May 06, 2007, 09:59:16 PM »
I know i am new to this and dumb.  But i can't get the boot loader to load on my toshiba gigabeat f40. When i go though GBSYSTEM i can find FWIMG then thought that i have FWMIG00.DAT, FWMIG01.DAT (the downloaded and copyed one), FWMIG0.DAT. Then when i pull out the USB cable and trun the power off then on.  i still get the Gigabeat frimware loading. any help would be amazing.  :o

So you have the FWIMG00, 01, and 02.dat files right?  Then make sure that you power down AND slide the battery switch off at the bottom of the Gigabeat.  Once you slide the battery switch back on and power up, you should boot into Rockbox.
