USB charging only

I'm really liking rockbox, but I was wondering if it is possible to charge via usb with out going into "Do not disconnect" mode. I use a laptop and it has a really poor headphone jack. So when I'm on my laptop I would like to use my ipod to listen to music while charging. Thanks!

Regarding this topic, I was wondering what is the battery status suppose to shows when I connect the ipod via the hold menu plug in usb method.  When I do this the rockbox software shows no change and windows shows USB slot malfunctioned.  The battery bar doesn't show charging.

However it's still charging?  I was just confused a bit on this aspect.  This is again listening to ipod at work without wanting to use any software on computer or relying on the on board sound these things have.  Go CMoy portable amp~

Is is the battery in the status bar or in a wps? Because if it's in the wps, it might not have a function to show that the battery is charging. What wps are you using?
