ok my friend recomended this and i installed on my ipod the ipod patcher and my ipod video screen says


rockbox boot loader
version 1.0
ipod version: 0xfffffff
toshiba mk3008gal
partition 1: 0x65 28521 mb
loading rockbox
error!
Can't load rockboc. ipod:
file not found
Press MENU+SELECT TO REBOOT
then SELECT+PLAY for disk mode




then it wont do anything else when i press menu+select it takes a while to reboot then i have to turn hold on and off the turn that screen on again. HOW DO I FIX THIS PLEASE I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO USE THIS HELP ME PLEASE

Depends whether you have an iPod or a Gigabeat, as to whether you're in the right forum?
Or have you tried to load the Gigabeat version of Rockbox on your iPod?
Also helps if you put a relevant topic in the subject line.

I think you posted here because of the word "Toshiba" in the printed output.  That's just the disc manufacturer.  This question belongs in an iPod forum.

3. read the manual -- you didn't extract the rockbox.zip file correcty.
