Fonts on source code

(1/1)

ajgisme:
Hey, i finnaly got the source code built and put patches on and everything, but it doesn't have fonts,  can you put fonts on?

elborak:
Did you read the installation instructions for your player?  It's covered there...

Nate!:
Fonts rarely change, so you just download that zip from the extras page.

bluebrother:
the fonts are in svn, you can just grab them ... how should anyone "put" the fonts somewhere else "on"?

pixelma:
From the HowToCompile wiki page...
--- Quote ---If you would like to build a full zip with the fonts included as well, you'd use this command line instead:

   $ make fullzip
--- End quote ---

But as been said it's easier to just grab the provided fonts zip unless you want to create a font yourself and try it out.

In case you build a simulator yourself and install the rockbox build properly there (with "make install"), you will also get the fonts in the ".rockbox/fonts" folder. The actual .fnt files in it are useable on target as well and so you could just copy them over to your device (third possibility).
