ipod nano Rockbox and linux...?

the rockbox loader can start ipodlinux, if you press the right button(s) (I don't remember which) If you do this it will say something like "starting linux" and since you say you don't have linux installed it will error out with "file not found"

If you hold PLAY whilst booting, the Rockbox bootloader looks for a file called linux.bin in the root of your FAT32 partition.

so does this mean that i could get this linux.bin file (presumably from ipod linux) and boot ipod linux?

I'm booting IPL that way ... you just need to grab the latest kernel from IPL (and of course also install the IPL userland)
