Shure E4c EQ settings

(1/1)

harpster:
Just got some Shure E4c canal earphones that I'm using with my Iriver H140. They're great, but the bass needs to be pumped up. Just wondering if anyone out there has discovered the "perfect" EQ settings in Rockbox for the E4. Thanks.

EQ settings are really subjective...what sounds good for me may sound terrible for you.  What you could do is go to the e4 website and get the frequency response data for the headphones, and then try to "invert" the response using the eq in each band.  This will get you close to a flat response, which is what you want if you want to hear what the audio engineer/band intended for you to hear...

I also have some e4's and love 'em!  haven't tweaked my eq yet, as I am still learning how to use rb...

good luck!

A series of EQ settings has been posted in a thread at Misticriver.net.
