new default theme concept.
NicolasP:
I just tested your theme on my gigabeat and I have one more remark : the very thin progressbar makes cuesheet markers a bit hard to see. This made me have a look at the code and I noticed the syntax you used in the progressbar tag is wrong. You shouldn't be putting the bitmap filename in the %pb tag. The right syntax is :
--- Code: ---%pb|height|leftpos|rightpos|toppos|
--- End code ---
Once I replaced the "pb.bmp" by "7", the cuesheet markers were easier to see (before that, the height would default to 1), but not exactly nice to see on the progressbar.

testing the gigabeat version here. it looks rather graceful.
few remarks:
like NicolasP already pointed out, the progress bar is very thin and even with the corrected syntax cuesheet markers are very hard to see.
while nimbus19 looks good in the WPS, it always seemed too big for me in the file browser, resulting in a lot of scrolling of folders names etc.
there're no play/pause/fast forward/rewind icons which i find to be very useful, especially the play/pause ones.
thenrik:
After the bugs are worked out, I say let's go for it. Denny has made a theme that works on all platforms, simple and effective. I think it will solve the first five minutes problem where new users become frustrated by the screen dimming out and an unfriendly default theme.
I can see new users loading Rockbox, seeing this theme and thinking, "This is something I can deal with."
Folks can go to the galleries later on if they want other features.

denny:
Thanks for trying it out. I will increase the size of the progress bar on the gigabeat, and perhaps the ipod 5g. I'll also look at the syntax. Play, pause fast forward and rewind buttons will not be added for reasons discussed in the sticky.
@ Gnostic, looking at it, i seem to have somehow uploaded the origional again :(. I'll get that changed.
*edit* The correct version is now available for the h100's.
NicolasP:
I agree with the fact that having all the playback status icons displayed with only one being highlighted is a complete waste of screen space, but having one that changes to reflect the current status is a requirement to me. It just seems odd to me that the only difference between playback and pause is the elapsed time not changing.
