Source Code Build
« on: May 02, 2007, 03:34:31 PM »
Hey,
i was going thru the tutorial thingy on building the source code, (coz i want to put on some patches), and i downloadedcygwin thingy, and I got it to load, the only thing is, when i tried to go to tools configure, it said it couldn't fin directory or file, so how do i build the source code once ive downloaded cyg?
The tutorial i read is here:

You should use SVN to download it in the future. Its easier, and would have avoided this problem.

Just decompress the rockbox.zip you made to your player.  Same as installing a build you downloaded.

Did you do a "make zip" after compiling?

After doing ../tools/configure and choosing your player and (N), then type make && make zip.  It will compile and create the zip.  Then just extract the zip to your player.  The zip will contain the .rockbox folder.
