Splash page on Rockbox?

When I boot up Rockbox, I get the text boot info, then the Rockbox icon, then the menu (or whatever context it was at shutoff).
Is there a way to put a backdrop behind the Rockbox icon or edit that screen?

No. (Unless you hack the sources yourself)

But if you want a full screen, I think you need a patch.

Actually, no:  the original splashscreen for my iHP-140 is only the size of the Rockbox logo (rectangular in shape); I replaced that with an image that fills the entire screen, showing my "Return me if lost" message and contact info.  No patch needed--I just replaced the original image file in the source code and then compiled.
