How do I configure Rockbox with font and themes?
(1/1)
volksolwagen:
I downloaded rockbox.zip and the ipodpatcher. i also downloaded rockbox-fonts.zip and the JBlackGlass.psd image and I customized a small version of my desktop background into it using gimp. I searched around for how to install my fonts package and my .psd image file but I'm not sure how to. I only have a .psd and not a .wps.
I've got a few numbskull questions:
How do I install the fonts?
How do I install the JBlackGlass theme using the .psd image that I customized?
I'm pretty new to this and I've read as much as I could understand. I appreciate any help in advance. Thanks!

Once rockbox is installed:
Extract the fonts to .rockbox/fonts. jBlackGlass will have theme files, wps codes, and backdrops.
Extract these to the corresponding folders in .rockbox/ and you need to save your modified background as a 24bit bmp. The easiest way to get that to work is to replace the background in one of the jBlackGlass wps folders in .rockbox/wps. Make sure it has the same file name as the one your replacing. Your modified theme can then be loaded by going to (rockbox menu) settings > themes and select whichever version you swapped your background into.
