how do I record?

I have looked in the manual and tested around and I have no clue how to record in my 5G video iPod. Please help! And can I record through the headphone jack? and or record with the headphones? (I didn't think I could but my friend with a 3G iPod got it on his).

I know NatetheGreat already has a post like this, but unlike him, I actually have a microphone that fits into my videoipod headphone jack.

I tried several times, no sound in the audio files in "Recording" folder, and once it got rid of all sound in RB 'till I reset it. I want to try out this "recording"thing in RB, 'cause (since I also make flash movies), it'll come in handy to be able to record anywhere. Can anyone help?

I *believe* you need to connect the mic to the dock connector. 5th Gen iPods don't support mic via headphone jack.
