Hi, is there any way to play .mp4 videos on a rockbox'd Ipod Video 60GB? I really don't want to have to re-rip my movies.

(You can boot into the Apple firmware for this of course)

When I did this...it just went to the Ipod firmware, but I can't get it back to rockbox conveniently without deleting my .rockbox folder, replacing it, and reinstalling the boot loader. How do I get back into rockbox without the huge inconvenience?

reboot the ipod by holding down Menu + Select.

And please have a look into the manual, this is explained there.

Holy crap man. (not to sound harsh or anything but) surely you could have discovered the reboot process and booting into other oses.

or you could try the ipodlinux loader 2

note: this is unsuported by rockbox but thats what i use

That would not have helped since the OP did not try resetting the machine.
