Problem with temperature and the battery in H10
« on: April 28, 2007, 05:08:55 AM »
Greetings to all! It is very grateful for rockbox!!!
After installation Rockbox on H10 (6 Gb) has noticed, that it begins to be heated, and the battery heats up. I think that the reason that the hard disk constantly works, it and unloads the battery, at firmware such I do not notice. What adjustments are necessary for rockbox? Or in what the reason? You should turn on directory cache, if you use the file viewer, or load database to ram, if you use the database.
settings > General Settings > System > Disk > Directory cache > Yes > disk spin down > 3 sec
Use that for the file viewer,
Settings > General Settings > Database > Load to ram > Yes
Use that for the database.
That should reduce the amount of disk spinups!
Hope this helps.
