rockboy buttons change

hey um im trying to play pokemon with rockboy but its very weird. its my first time using rockboy and im using ipod video. its weird that i have to like scroll with the scroll wheel inorder for ash to move. can i just push menu to go up, rewind to move left, fast forward to go right and play/pause to go down etc...? Thank You

Phalangees:
there's not enough buttons with an ipod.

a gameboy has A,B,Left,Right,Up,Down,Start,and Select.
and IPod has in essence Left, Right, Up, Down, A  but then there are no buttons for getting to the game menu or even to the rockboy menu so you can get back to your player. There's just not enough buttons so gameplay will always be a little funky with rockboy on the ipod.
