Using ipod on other computers

(1/2) > >>

necro daddy:
after installing rockbox I can no longer seem to use my ipod on other computers as a harddrive the error that comes up is that access is denied and I cannot view any files that are on it works fine on my computer at home (the one I installed rockbox with) however all other computers cannot acces it. What do I need to do to be able to access my ipod on other computers? I have an ipod color if thats any help

saratoga:
You don't need to do anything.  Rockbox uses the USB mode built into your ipod.  If it doesn't work on another computer, something is wrong with that computer.

necro daddy:
have used my ipod on the other computers before rockbox was installed and now I can't

Febs:
Try putting the iPod into Disk Mode and then connecting it to USB.  (There are instructions on entering Disk Mode in the Installation chapter of the manual.)

necro daddy:
had a look through the manual saw nothing about putting it in disk mode I'm assuming this is a rockbox feature as it is in disk mode in itunes
