I've roasted my ipod nano...
« on: April 27, 2007, 01:36:59 PM »
F***!
I tried to make a firewire charger for my nano and must have done something wrong: it just shut down when I tried it. When I did a hard reboot, it showed me only a link: "support.apple.com". I did another hard reboot and tried all the tests in diagnostics mode, but it showed no error. Then I booted into rockbox, but after a successful boot it said "data abort" and did nothing anymore..
Then I tried to enter disc-mode to backup my data, but it shut down immediatly when I plugged in the USB cable; also  it went VERY hot on the back.
I'll try disc mode again when it's cooled down a little bit, but I guess it won't help: I will need to buy some other player that supports rockbox (maybe a iaudio x5?)
