5.5G iPod with 40GB (MK4009GAL) -- would it work?
(1/1)
michael.conner:
Is there any reason why the MK4009GAL hard drive dropped into a 5.5G iPod wouldn't work with Rockbox?
Toshiba claims the drive has 512 bytes per sector. Specs of drive are here: http://72.14.253.104/search?q=cache:cbkQ-ceCrnkJ:sdd.toshiba.com/localcache/820000002F5B00000D870000000100000000.pdf+MK4009GAL+%22bytes+per+sector%22&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=us&client=firefox-a.
GodEater:
This isn't an installation question really - it belongs in hardware - but that aside, I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work...
Soader03:
I've heard somewhere that you have to do an image of your old HDD and copy it into the new one. Not sure about that.
