Resetting default theme
« on: April 25, 2007, 02:38:18 PM »
Hi to all.  I installed Rockbox on my iAudio X5 a few days ago and started playing with it.  It's pretty fantastic, but I've encountered a snag.  I was trying out different themes and somehow managed to completely blank out my screen.  I suspect it's something dumb like a black font on a black background.  Unfortunately, it makes it just about impossible to navigate menus to fix the problem.  The "Now Playing" screen is fully visible.

Is there a way to reset to the default theme, or is there some other solution someone can suggest?  It would be great if this could be solved without needing the sync cable, since that's at home and I'm not, but I can wait if needed.  Many thanks in advance.

you have to reboot your player, and when you see the rockbox-logo press menu or hold (ipod)
that will reset all settings

Well, that did it.  It's "Record" on the X5, but same concept.  Thanks for the quick reply!

Yes, just edit the "config.cfg" file to your liking, or remove it.

The manual will tell you how to clear your settings.   ;)
For the Gigabeat F series you hold the A button while booting.
