Updating Help
« on: April 25, 2007, 12:52:31 AM »
I recently purchased a 60 gig video ipod and loaded rockbox onto. I am really diggin it so far but I keep running into this same problem. For some reason when I plug my ipod into my computer and delete some things from it, it isnt updating correctly in my ipod. When I go to use my ipod again the supposedly deleted files are still there and they still play. How can I fix this? How do I get my ipod to update correctly?

What type of computer?  How are you deleting the files?

If it's Windows, are the files still in a \RECYCLER folder?

I am using a Macbook. To delete the files I just plug my ipod into my computer and click on my ipod once it pops up. Then I just drag the files I don't want to the trash and empty the trash. When I loaded my ipod after that, the files didn't show up in the ipod when i clicked on it on my desktop, but when I unplug it and check the database, they are still there.

Hmm, apparently I didn't empty the trash when I deleted those files. Problem is almost solved now! For some reason there are sill folders for the albums I deleted, but nothing are in the folders now that I have emptied the trash.
