Idle Poweroff Not Working (Ipod Mini)

I just installed Rockbox on my mini over the weekend (latest stable build).  Everything seems to be cool and working except the idle poweroff.  It is set to 3 minutes, but I can hit pause on the player, leave it sit on my desk and come back and it is still on.  Is there something else I need to check/configure?  Thanks.

This question didn't have anything to do with the install process.

Is your iPod plugged in / charging?

No.  It's not plugged in via USB or wall charger.

Llorean:
If you actually stop playback, does it idle power off?

arsenal:
No, it doesn't matter if I just pause playback or stop playback, it does not power down after the set amount of time.
