On the plugin index page on the wiki, it mentions at the bottom Plugbox,
http://plugbox.rockbox-lounge.com, and the wiki specifically states 'Some "3rd-party" plugins. It is not known if they plan to keep them out of SVN or if they intend to deliver code for inclusion.'
So looking at their website I've noticed several things:
1. All their code is, or is at least claimed to be under the GPL
2. Some of the plugins from this website are already in the Rockbox SVN
3. The website has not been updated in a while (1 year or more?)
Anyway, my question is simply this: is any permission required from the original authors to take their code and update/implement it in rockbox, or is it simply a matter of someone here taking the code and doing it, since it's GPL already?
Also, since some of the code is implemented in SVN, should the note next to the link in the wiki be changed to reflect this?
