Very newbie - I have an idea for a plugin. I'd like the option to enable voiceovers or station identification files. The idea is that every so many songs, the station ID file would be played. Does anyone know if something like this exists yet? I haven't seen anything, though I might not be looking in the right place.
I'm willing to do the development - but I wouldn't mind some tips on how to get started: is a plugin the right approach? Any tips to how to get started, where to get started, pitfalls to avoid, advice on good practices?
I think I'm really looking for the following config items:
- enable/disable plugin
- specify voiceover directory
- play specific file in directory every time, play files in sequential order, play random file in directory
- play voiceover every X songs, random every X to Y songs
Thoughts?
