IPOD 5G 60GB battery life / capacity

Hello,

I'm running rockbox without a problem on my IPOD 60GB.

The only thing is, that it "crashed" today, but it was only a switch of due to an empty battery.

but I didn't recieve any warning. the battery was telling me half full.

Is there something wrong with my capacity settings? How big is the capacity of the 60GB battery?

Thanks

regards

The battery capacity detection doesn't really work on ipods: it's mostly guessing. Dwyloc works on improving it for the nano, and will maybe (?) work on the 5/5.5G too. But ask him yourself.
In the wiki, there's a page about the runtime on different ipods.

Llorean:
The "battery capacity" setting has nothing to do with how long the iPod actually runs, there is no guessing involved (it simply isn't calibrated at all), and the setting cannot negatively affect performance.

Thanks

I can life with the problem that the shown time of baterry isn't calibrated, but why RB doesn't alert a low baterry???

@ llorean: that's what I meant to say. I couldn't think of the right words...
