I don't think it's *ugly* per se - but yellow on a white background isn't a good contrast, so I don't think making it into a light theme is as easy as DancemasterGlenn originally imagined. I think it has potential ;)

What about a lightish blue colour instead of yellow. ala the colour of the forums.

stark yellow on white doesn't work for me either. maybe a slightly softened background (off white?) with a mustard font....
