Well icons can be interpreted differently by different people, that's a fact; whatever is done with them (or not), I just think that cabbiev2 shouldn't lose the ability of showing when the battery is fully charged; I just thought that the second icon -amongst the available icons- would represent that better (and apparently ZincAlloy too), but I'm aware it could perfectly be as yapper and Llorean put it.

I wouldn't comprimise a feature. But we do need to make these icons less confusing.
I really like Llorean's suggestion. what symbol should we keep for "charging"? the battery with the bolt of lightning or the battery with the plug symbol?

A plug icon would probably make the most sense, and look nicer than just a lightning bolt. Maybe when it's fully charged it could blink/change color? Or given the sleek look of the theme, perhaps a plug with a "glow" around it for fully charged?

I would say stick with the bolt of lightning, as it implies 'activity' (at least to me)
