I am totally for this new gigabeat version. My biggest problem with the older version was the font. Sure, it was big, but for some reason it looked "pixelated" and not clean like the rest of the helvR font family. The helvR12 font is looking great, though!

Shall I start working towards committing it, then? What I need to do is make a cleaner version of the background. I'll need the original graphics for that.

Just one thing, I don't see why to put a banner with "now playing" as you come to this screen form the menu now playing.
This banner could be removed or the text change with the time perhaps
