I'm saying it's a very good way to free up one extra line .... but it'll be a lot of work to amend all the targets.

Have all the themes been renamed so that they can go into one combined zip? If not, could I get a list of ones that have been renamed?
I'd like to get ready to commit the work in progress version of this theme so that more people get a chance to look at it. Then as its refined we can update it.

Well, I think that the now playing bar and the progressbar should remain seperate so that the theme really "flows" because there will be two equal focal points on the screen that way.
saratoga: According to the wiki page (http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/DefaultWPS), all of the ports except the archos version (which pixelma will do tomorrow) have been renamed properly.
I think that the ipod video port, x5/h10 20gb, ipod nano, h10 5/6gb, ipod mini, ipod 1st-4th gen and the c200 ports are pretty much ready to go.

I agree. I just knocked up a quick rework and without re-arranging lots it does become visually unbalanced. The combined 'now playing' and progress bar is probably best saved for another theme.
