iPod 3rd Gen freezing after rockbox install

Hi there, I found this site and decided to have some fun with this software, it looks great.

I successfully installed the software, but found that when playback was successful, the songs paused every few seconds before resuming. Also, the device would freeze very frequently. I successfully restored it back to it's original state and it works fine again, but I am very interrested in getting this software working. Any ideas?

The 3G port doesn't really work.  There was never a developer who took interest in it due to the age of the player and the horribly slow CPU.  I suspect you're getting skipping due to CPU issues.  Try a slower format, FLAC might work.  I think the freezing is due to issues with the audio driver, but I never really looked into it.

Or simply reinstall with the newest bootloader. If you used an older bootloader, it won't work properly.
