Can't find ipod (nano )

trying to install rockbox v1.0.1  
Error is " Ipod has not been found. Please connect it to the computer. Now aborting

The ipod is in and i can access it perfectly. works in Itunes aswel

There is no "rockbox v1.0.1".  I can only guess you're using some kind of third-party installer.

You should follow the official install instructions - see the "manual" link on the left side of this page.
