Player similar to Archos Jukebox Recorder
« on: September 22, 2009, 12:29:16 PM »

Hi all,
My Archos Jukebox Recorder finally bit the dust. It was resurrected once in the past because I found spare parts on Ebay, but this time it is gone forever. One of the reasons I kept it around was Rockbox.

Is there an MP3 player available now that runs Rockbox and has the following features :
1. Laptop hard-drive based
2. Easy to take apart (I want to install my own drive)
3. Shows up simply as a portable hard-drive with folders when connected to my PC.
4. Runs on standard AA/AAA batteries

I don't really care about taking pics, or playing video etc.
thanks ...

The only players that work with Rockbox and use 2.5" drives are the Archos I'm afraid.  Ditto for the batteries.
