Rockbox 3.1 is released!

I'm happy to tell that Rockbox 3.1 was just uploaded!

For the easiest install or upgrade path, use rbutil.

If you prefer getting the zip files "manually", go here

EDIT #2 : 10:05 now... still cant download.... for anyone who can download it... would it be possible to upload to a website and i could download it from there? ... or should i wait another couple hours?

I think you should include time and time zone in the release information.  It's the 24th here.

it's been about 3 hours since my first post and i still cant download the Rockbox v3.1 (for e200 series)

just wondering what's going on if anyone might know

Works for me.  I just downloaded the release for e200, c200, iPod Video and H120 with no problems.

im in the USA... where are you located?

p.s. i also had someone i know online try downloading it... and he cant download it either (he lives in Australia)

EDIT: it's 12:03am 24th now and still not working (roughly 5 hours later and still nothing)

Just have patience and try again tomorrow, or use a Current Build. There's really no practical reason to use the release builds unless there's significant instability in the current build.

well i noticed once i used the PROXY (which is located in UK) it downloads the files fine.

but just a straight up standard connection it does not work.

Look, this is going to happen every time there's a release. There are several download mirrors. You never really know which one you're going to end up trying to download from. They are supposed to update fairly quickly, but it doesn't seem to always be the case.

If you can't download a release, wait at least 24 hours from the announcement that it's available before reporting problems, please.
