We have a change log here for when new formats and features are added:

http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/MajorChanges

You can keep track of them by checking that page from time to time.

last post I found about playing IT/XM/S3M/YM files is older than 1 year - is there anything new in the meantime? I would be really really happy if theres a way to get these formats played on my sansa clip+

You can still use FS#8806 to use these tracker formats in Rockbox. The patch is still maintained and builds properly against the current SVN trunk.

There was some talk on the mailing list about committing the patch into SVN and making it official, but a conclusion has not been reached yet about whether to commit the patch as a plugin (which will be a viewer for these formats), or to use the codec version (which will integrate into the playback engine but needs some tweaks to various parts of the playback engine to work).

More players than you can shake a stick at!

The Rockbox staff member you are trying to reach is imaginary. Please rotate your monitor 90 degrees and try again.

As mikmod is now included and with the newest update we even got AY files to play which is great,
how are the chances to get support for the lovely YM files (ym2149) ? (as in the first posting asked already).
Or are the players not powerful enough for that maybe?
I cant find much info on here on that famous atari st tracker format, except some irc logs from 2004 and 2006 ;)
