Problem with 20 GB Ipod Photo Windows Fat32 Formatted
« on: June 16, 2008, 02:06:23 PM »
I have a standard 20 GB North American Ipod Photo.

I successfully installed the RockBox software onto it, it boots up but the colors are completely messed up on it.  It's all colors of the rainbow like the settings are completely out of whack or something.

I have tried reinstalling it but it does the exact same thing.

Anything I can try?

Thanks for any and all help

Tim

The most recent builds for the 4G iPod color appear to have a bug concerning the LCD driver. This has to be looked into.

The last SVN build that I found to not introduce the bug was r17714; you can download that from here.

Once you install it, could you be so kind as to quickly go to (from the main menu) System > Debug > View HW Info,  and tell us what number your LCD type and HW rev are?

Hmmm... same as mine. Seems that certain hardware revisions are having a problem with the LCD driver.

For now, just use r17714, and keep your eyes on the front page for when a fix is available.
