Great, this is what happens when you have too much to do all at once.
I'm having a little trouble getting a wiki page started (can anyone help me with starting a wiki page from scratch?), but here are some of the specs, as per the ArchOpen site.http://www.archopen.org/tiki-index.php?page=AV1xx_Chipset
Apparently the AV1xx series are the AV3xx models with some minor hardware changes. If there's an AV3xx port, either being worked on or partially worked on, how hard would it be to adapt it to the AV1xx?
The CPU seems to be a TI TMS320DSC25; ARM7TDMI core; this one's different from the CPU in the ZEN and Dell Digital Jukebox players. The iPod and H10 use ARM7TDMI already.
Sound DSP looks to be another MAS chip; the MAS3587F. I don't quite know if it's hardware or software decoding; I've got to get the data sheets out again.
There's a ATMEL ATF1504ASV 15AC100 0238 Programmable logic device as well. I have the data sheet for this as well, I think. If not, then I'll look for it.
Two IS42S16400A ISSI chips for RAM; the device has 16MB of RAM [64 Mbit - 8 Megabyte]; used for the audio buffer.
The Flash is a SST39VF400A chip with 256kB Flash ROM; the device is easily firmware upgradeable like most of the older Archos devices via a simple firmware download. I figure this one can be flashed to make Rockbox a permanent replacement as well.
USB is handled by a CY7C58300 56LFC USB 2.0/ATA/ATAPI bridge chip.
The AV1xx have a RTC, powered by a M41ST84W STMicroelectronics Serial RTC.
The LCD is a L2E1811D from Epson; I'm not sure exactly what
the model is. Hell, I'm afraid of even taking it out of the device (it's very, very flimsy and may easily break!)
I have most of the data sheets already. But can someone give me a little info about starting a new wiki page?
