"pattching" with a mac?

I have read everything for the .patch and .diff files. But i cant figure out how to do all of the things with a mac. If anyone knows please help me

That really says nothing at all about your problem. Please explain exactly what you are trying to do, how far you have got and what your specific problem is now.

I can't do a thing with my computer none of the command lines work with Terminal. And i can't find an application that is like the windows command prompt. So i cant start the process of applying the patch. I understand all of the wiki. It just doesn't work.

You want to use Terminal for this.  Also, follow the linux instructions, not the cygwin ones, since you're on a unix machine not a windows machine.

Does macos come with patch?  If not, you'll need to download and install it.

The first thing you'll need to install is the xcode development tools from Apple - you can download them from somewhere on apple.com.  This includes the standard C compiler and various other things (I'm assuming patch and diff are included there).

After that, you will need to run the tools/rockboxdev.sh script in the Rockbox source code - this will download and install the cross-compilers needed to compile Rockbox.
