Title: Could there be a port of Rockbox on some AGPTEK mp3s ?
Post by: DrMeow on July 29, 2018, 09:32:16 PM
Hello

I've stumbled upon this mp3 which is an exact copycat of the Clip Zip, and I wonder if Rockbox is portable on it.

https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B071GC3WM8/ref=sspa_dk_detail_4?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B071GC3WM8&pf_rd_m=A1X6FK5RDHNB96&pf_rd_p=1370598536209589035&pf_rd_r=MQ867P59EAXQ90YWPJSD&pd_rd_wg=AZYZc&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t=40701&pd_rd_w=OQnNz&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pd_rd_r=0580615b-93a0-11e8-97af-1df2029b9934

This factory seems specialised in copying the discontinued Sansa series... so maybe they also copied their hardware. I find this sad that every rockboxable mp3 is discontinued, and I think their second-hand price is horrendous ($100 for a Clip+ ?!)

Anyway, thanks for reading my frustration, and sorry for my bad English

There is a port to one of the more advanced agptek devices. Those cheap ones lack sufficient memory to do much with however so there is no port to them.
