Hi folks i hope that you ll help me! i am a very new possesor of x5l. i ve just bought it today and started installing rockbox at the begining!  and everything would be fine except that i cant connect with my PC!(cant recognize usb device) before that i was able to dl some stuff easly from my PC and without any problems.
i ve installed this version
Target: x5
Target id: 12
Target define: -DIAUDIO_X5
Memory: 16
CPU: coldfire
Manufacturer: iaudio
Version: r14742-070918
Binary: rockbox.iaudio
Binary size: 378080
Actual size: 378072
RAM usage: 1147576
gcc: m68k-elf-gcc (GCC) 3.4.6
ld: GNU ld version 2.16.1
Host gcc: gcc (GCC) 4.1.3 20070601 (prerelease) (Debian 4.1.2-12)
Host system: Linux

i was trying to connect it to the other pc but also without any results .i havent installed it on dual versions with original firmware so now i really dont know what to do !
the player is working fine but its useless to me without pc's connection.
i m using windows xp, and plugging usb cable from the minidock to x5l. all cables were working fine so its not their fault.
im looking for any solution from you guys!
thanks for any help!
cheers!
p.s. should i install any rockbox drivers to windows library?

I also had that problem
Usually after pressing the reset button it was working.
Or after powering on/off
That's why i installed dualboot afterwards
When it now occurs, i start original Cowon and connect then

Also make sure that you use the USB port on the subpack. The USB port on the side does not work with Rockbox.

im using dualboot.

if my X5 is off and i connect via the subpack, it works, but shows that ugly stock "connected"-screen.

if i have booted rockbox and connect it then, it shows me a nice usb-plug, but doesnt work..

im using dualboot.

The dual boot bootloader is not official on the X5 yet. If you have trouble connecting the X5 from running Rockbox please make sure that this unofficial bootloader is not the problem (you would need to install the official one and try this).
