Audio Playback, Database and Playlists / Re: From WPS -> One Button Press -> add to predefined Playlist. Solutions / Ideas...
« Last post by fxml on Today at 10:56:08 PM »
Reason for trying to find solution on WPS->One Button Press->predefined playlist is when cycling / running it is not always practical to use context menu / shortcut.

Thanks once again for outstanding job and Rockbox support.

Feature Ideas / Re: Automatic recording gain for Clip-Series
« Last post by saratoga on Today at 04:46:48 PM »
I have no idea why autogain control is disabledon the Clip.  Doing a google search reveals that I enabled it a while ago in a test build but no one ever reported if it worked.  Maybe there was some reason it was disabled.

Feature Ideas / Automatic recording gain for Clip-Series
« Last post by Dominik Rutschmann on Today at 04:32:31 PM »
Greetings,

as many other persons I really love my Clip -- in my case a clip zip -- and love it even more with the Rockbox running on it.

As a student of sociology I frequently use the Clip-Zip for recording lectures or Interviews in the field, and I am really impressed of the relatively good recording quality. But there is a feature what would be really useful for every recording: Automatic Gain.

I, and I'm sure, many others too,  would really appreciate it, if you would implement an automatic recording gain.

Thank you!

Dominik Rutschmann

It works fine in the original firmware, there's no need to do that.
But the point is I don't want to use the original Apple firmware.

Why exactly?

But the point is I don't want to use the original Apple firmware. So if rockbox can be installed to the drive and it can play music, then maybe we just need to find a way to copy the files to the drive since the uSB is having trouble to do that.

Post the full log from rockbox utility.  It likely explains what the error was.

Rockbox Utility / Fuze+ error: will not patch OS with firmware sb
« Last post by strawman on Today at 01:04:07 PM »
This is a new unit that I ran with the provided OS. I have the latest OS version. Removed the external storage (32gb).  I set interface to MSC. Attached to desktop PC running Win XP SP3.  downloaded the firmware sb. It appeared to load the firmware, but finally got the error message:will not patch.
A search of this term: Patch, or firmware patch fail, did not offer this exact problem , so I start this as a new topic. Any help for this?  Thanks

Actually I had an NTFS partition and just reformatted it as FAT32, so that just might be where I messed up. Thanks! I'll fix that and check if it works.

Feature Ideas / Game Update: Superdom
« Last post by jdograpon on Today at 10:38:47 AM »
Hello Rockbox People!

I really love your software, I also really love Superdom. But I want some new features here is what I would like.

1. New AI. The one you have is good, but I wish when I am like DESTORYING the AI, it wouldn't just quit, but I would have to destroy all of their stuff.

2. Open-World Mode. Now by open world I mean, a sort of Sim City type mode, were you have people that live with you, and you have to provide food and stuff.
