Title: recording levels on Ipod

is it possible to set the recording levels on my Ipod? It's a G4.

and were can I find the recordingmanual?

What do you mean with Recording level? You can set the gain when you're at the recording screen.
The manual isn't up to date, the recording options are missing... But the should be pretty self-explaining!

I don't think that the gain control has been implemented on iPods.

I never used it, I just noticed that it was there.

Oh, and when you record through the dock connector, should you hear what you're recording through the headphone jack? Because I hear nothing on my nano.
