Title: suggestion to improve voice feedback when deleting files or folders.
Post by: alexwallis646 on November 01, 2010, 09:18:44 AM
Hi.
I have a suggestion to improve voice feedback when deleting files or folders.

At the moment, the current behaviour when deleting something is for rockbox to simply ask really delete?

My suggestion is, could we please make it so that it will say really delete,
and then if a voice clip is present for the current file or folder it will use that to say the name,
and if not then it would spell the name.

I feel this would be really useful, as lets say you have a huge list of folders and files all beginning with a, of course you would try to make sure your on the right one to start with,
but its very easy to accidentally go one item past or before what you want to delete, I just think adding in this bit of extra feedback would be a nice extra safe guard, particularly if you rely on the voice interface.

What are peoples thoughts?

It sounds like a useful change to me.  :)
