Title: Sansa C200 freezes when i open recording

HI,
 I loaded rockbox on my Sansa c200 and it freezes as soon as I open the recording app (or press the record button)
I have tried changing all the settings in the recording settings menu, and setting the recording directory.
I also tried disabling the voice and also strting up into the main menu so there would be no music loaded and it still freezes.
I have to hold the power button for @ 20 seconds to turn it off and then turn it back on.

Any help would be appreciate.

Try disabling keyclicks

I had the same system freeze after entering Recording and then pressing any button. The solution offered of turning off Keyclick worked for me as well.

The steps to turn off Keyclick are: Settings > General Settings > System > Keyclick > Off

Now, when entering Recording you can scroll down to file and then press Select to start recording.

(This tread should be under Recording.)

I agree.  I moved this thread but deleted the redundant one that you posted.  Feel free to add this info to an FAQ or other wiki page.
