Title: Help Need: Sansa isn't the same
Post by: TLB4 on July 11, 2008, 10:02:44 AM
Ok so its started when my sansa battery wouldn't start to charge the battery after i installed sansalinux. (I had rockbox installed also) So i uninstalled rockbox and sansalinux and decided to try and format it.

I found a tut. on the internet and it would have worked 100% but then when i reconnected, it started saying it was just a normal MP4 player. And it says now when i try to add files - This folder is unsupported, this player only supports , audio, playlists, audio album, and folder files.

This is the problem for me, i can't get rockbox files/folders onto my sansa e260 in order to reinstall rockbox. I ran the rockbox installer and it said that there was no sansa connected. So f anyone could provide me with some help so that it will work properly or if someone could give me an idea if i could reformat it somehow. Thanks in advance.

TLB4 please read the forum guidelines before posting again.  Many many of the people on here either do not speak English as their first language or are blind and using screen-readers.
Words/abbreviations  such as "teh" "2" and "w.e." are strictly prohibited.
We even include a spell-checker on the forums now.

The word is "know."

These are the rules here. You don't have to agree with them. But you were given your account in exchange for your agreement to follow them. If you don't want to follow through on that agreement, I don't see why we should follow through on letting you keep the account.

why would someone from a different language be using different language forums?

We have literally thousands of Rockbox developers and users whose native language is not English.

With all due respect, the only one who is confused is you.  The founders of the Rockbox project are not native English speakers.  A substantial portion of the Rockbox code was written by non-native English speakers.  Non-native English speakers wrote a good deal of the documentation (using excellent English, I might add).  Much of the support provided by contributors to the Rockbox project on the forums, IRC channel, etc., is by people whose first language is something other than English.  If they can use the language properly, so can you.

Rockbox is very popular with blind users, because of its voice support.  Blind users visit our forums regularly.
